Back in May, Hartley Logistics had bought struggling truck company Italia Limitato for £2.7 Million as a small investment opportunity to make some more money in Italy. However, since July, Italia Limitato had been loosing Hartley Logistics an estimated £7,400 per week despite a £700,000 upgrade to the companies assets. Against the will of Hartley Logistics, they had to sell Italia Limitato to a French distribution company for £2.2 Million. Hartley Logistics CEO said "It was a real shame to get to this point with the company and despite all our efforts to be successful, it wasn't meant to be." At the moment, the workers at Italia Limitato are continuing on with their normal daily routine but it is unknown what the plan is for the small southern Italian company. Gino Finacci, the founder of Italia Limitato and the current managing director said " Our ambitions for the company were to expand across Italy and become iconic. We only started to struggle after purchasing our second south Italian garage."
